Research & Evaluation

Validate Your Impact

Our clients do meaningful work – they provide support to people who need it most and services that they might not otherwise receive. Our research and evaluation services help clients secure funding, refine implementation strategies, demonstrate the value and impact of their work, and encourage them to show it off.

We evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of grant-funded initiatives and conduct efficacy assessments of interventions, professional development methods, and organizational programs. Our approach is:
  • Theory-driven and analytically solid. Our research plans are based on a theoretical model of HOW and WHY something should work and test the model using statistical methods that meet the highest standards of analysis.
  • Formative and improvement-focused. We provide clients with continual, rapid-cycle feedback throughout the course of a project, so the fidelity of implementation, data collection, and analysis is never at stake.
  • Collaborative and iterative. We collaborate with clients through all phases of the research and evaluation cycle, continually refining project designs. It is, after all, your program.

Program Evaluation

We evaluate state- and federally-funded initiatives that support education, mental health, and community wellness. Here are some examples:

  • Carol M. White Physical Education Program (Office of Elementary & Secondary Education)

State-Level Departments of Education
  • 21st Century Community Learning Centers
  • Formula Funding (Titles I, II, etc.)

Federally-funded programs supporting education, mental health, and community wellness
  • Drug Free Communities Support Program (Department of Justice)
  • Adult & Family Treatment Drug Courts (Department of Health & Human Services, SAMHSA)
  • Connecting Kids to Coverage (Department of Health & Human Services, CMS)

  • Ryan White Program (Department of Health & Human Services, HRSA)
  • Support Services for Torture Survivors (Department of Health & Human Services, ACF)

Efficacy Assessments

Our skilled research team collaborates with clients to carefully define a theoretical model of program effectiveness – a model that identifies the critical processes of an intervention or program and highlights precisely how and why it works. We use this model to outline a detailed research design, determine data collection and statistical methods, identify comparison groups, and conduct analyses to test the efficacy of interventions, professional development methods, and organizational programs.

Our studies meet What Works Clearinghouse review standards and result in professional manuscripts that are publication-ready and presentation-worthy.

We're proud to meet the research needs of clients that share our vision. Take a look at some exciting projects with a few of our partners.
