CIC PLANNING GROUP was founded in 1981 and incorporated as a professional planning firm in 1986 by it's President, Charles Buresch.

A brief history of CIC’s gradually expanding services is as follows:

1981 Consulting in community development and low income housing

1985 Began consulting in issues pertaining to education, chronic illness and disabilities

1987 Developed consulting practice around issues of public transportation

1993 Authored the highest rated HIV/AIDS grant application in the history of the Kansas City Public Health region

1994 Reached a cumulative total of $25,000,000 in successful grants written for clients

1994 Enabled the St. Louis region to obtain its first resources for the care and treatment of people with HIV

1997 Began developing regional, public-private partnerships to deliver public health and human services

1998 Reached a cumulative total of $50,000,000 in successful grants written for clients

2002 Project experience had extended throughout the Midwest and into Florida

2003 Opened Florida office

2004 Reached a cumulative total of $85,000,000 in successful grants written for clients
